Penreco produces highly refined, low-aromatic specialty hydrocarbon fluids by modifying our white mineral oil production process. These solvents are produced by carefully fractionating selected feedstock and then hydrotreating the individual product streams.
The chemical composition of Penreco solvents is predominantly saturated hydrocarbons. These compounds may be branched, straight chain or saturated cyclic structures. The aromatic content is very low, and olefins are practically non-existent.
These chemical properties, combined with the narrow distillation ranges, give Penreco specialty hydrocarbon fluids distinct advantages in meeting environmental regulations.
