Conosol C-200 is a high-purity, low-toxicity product that contains less than 0.5% aromatics. It is composed primarily of C₁₂ - C₁₆ cycloparaffinic and isoparaffinic hydrocarbons. C-200 meets numerous FDA regulations (21 CFR) for direct and indirect food additives. Penreco has determined that this product meets the low vapor pressure (LVP) VOC exemption for consumer products as set by the California Air Resources Board.
