Conosol C-145 is a high-purity, low-odor aliphatic solvent composed primarily of C₁₀ - C₁₃ cycloparaffinic and isoparaffinic hydrocarbons. It is a low-toxicity product that contains less than 0.5% aromatics, and it has a higher solvent strength than competitive 140+ flash aliphatic solvents.

Conosol C-145 is environmentally friendly and meets numerous FDA regulations (21 CFR) for direct and indirect food additives. Penreco has determined that 30% of this product meets the low vapor pressure (LVP) VOC exemption for consumer products as set by the California Air Resources Board.
