The Synergel^®S products are a family of anhydrous gels that are based on a variety of hydrocarbon fluids. These fluids are high-purity, low-odor aliphatic solvents composed primarily of cycloparaffinic and isoparaffinic hydrocarbons having a high solvent strength. Synergel^® gel products encompass materials as varied as mineral oils, solvents and synthetic hydrocarbons to d-limonene and DEET. Variations in starting materials and resulting viscosities create a myriad of product formulation possibilities. Benefits of these gels include excellent suspension properties, outstanding solvency, remarkable adherence to a vertical surface, and a neat delivery package. The Synergel^® products also offer emulsion stability, product and storage stability, and increased options for VOC formulations. With their excellent film formation, the Synergel^® gels also provide controlled release of active ingredients.

The Synergel^® products which are designed for aerosol applications are marketed under the Synergel^® A designation.

Suitable applications for Synergel^® products include cleaning, polishing, metalworking, insect control, crop protection, paint and coatings, strippers, degreasers, and chemical processing.
