Versagel^® R

The Versagel^® R series of products are clear solid gels designed for applications in many cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and personal care products. The Versagel^® R gels are based on mineral oil and a patented block copolymer technology. In addition to their crystal clarity, these products also provide emolliency, occlusivity, and wear-resistant properties. The gels act as film formers and delivery vehicles, and possess excellent thermal and UV stability.

Applications for the Versagel^® R series include body masks, facial products, lip products, and pharmaceutical products. Cyclomethicone, esters, and other ingredients may be added to the formulation for improvement in lubricity, stiffness, and feel.

Versagel^® RE

The Versagel^® RE materials are clear gels in elastic solid form and are used for novel applications in many cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and personal care products. These gels are based on Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, a synthetic hydrocarbon commonly used in personal care products, in combination with block copolymers that provide emolliency and help achieve long-lasting effects. The gels act as film formers and as delivery vehicles for fine particles and other insoluble ingredients.

Applications for the Versagel^® RE series include lip products, facial and body masks, and stick products as well as pharmaceuticals. These gels are most appropriate for use in products with a “mineral oil-free” label.
