ASHRAE is the world's foremost technical society in the fields

Engineers ASLE
American Society of Lubrication Engineers is the previous

and Distributors Association (CDPA)
CPDA is viewed as the voice of the generic pesticide manufacturer,
formulator and distributor in federal legislative and regulatory

(CSPA)

CTFA strives to ensure that the personal care products industry

Manufacturers Association (ILMA)
Established in 1948, the ILMA exists to meet the needs of
its regular members by providing a forum for interaction in
areas of common interest, and to provide group effort in the
economic, political and technical environments where group,

International Organization for
Standardization (ISO)
ISO is an international organization that establishes international
standards for products and test methods. ISO coordinates with
ASTM to develop identical specifications and methods. Some test methods are identical and have both

National Association
of Printing Ink Manufacturers (NAPIM)
The National Association of Printing Ink Manufacturers is
a trade association whose purpose is to represent the U.S.
printing ink industry and to provide direction to management
in the areas of environmental issues, business management,
government regulations and regulatory compliance. NAPIM maintains
a technical arm, known as the National Printing Ink Research
Institute (NPIRI).

NARSTO
Formerly an acronym for North American Research Strategy for
Tropospheric Ozone, the term NARSTO has become simply a wordmark
signifying this tri-national, public-private partnership for
dealing with multiple features of tropospheric pollution,
including ozone and suspended particulate matter. It is a
public/private partnership, whose membership spans government,
the utilities, industry and academe throughout Mexico, the
United States and Canada. Its primary mission is to coordinate
and enhance policy-relevant scientific research and assessment
of tropospheric pollution behavior. Its activities provide
input for science-based decision making and determination
of workable, efficient and effective strategies for local
and regional air-pollution management. The RRWG operates under
NARSTO.

National Candle Association (NCA)
This organization acts as a national spokesperson for the
candle industry on issues of vital importance to manufacturers
throughout the industry. The staff of its Washington, DC headquarters
provides an information network for candle manufacturers and
suppliers and offers liaison with other national organizations
with related interests.

National Formulary (NF)
The National Formulary is associated with the USP. It sets
standards for products that are considered non-active ingredients
in pharmaceutical products. The NF monographs are found in
the same book as the USP. New editions of the combined USP/NF
are printed every five years.

National Petrochemical and Refiners
Association (NPRA)
The purpose of the NPRA is to promote the general welfare
of members by gathering and disseminating historical and scientific
information and statistics pertaining to the petroleum refining
and petrochemical manufacturing industries. The organization
promotes environmental improvements and provides an effective
channel of communication between members and other associations,
the government and the public.

and Compression Conference (PMACC)
The PMACC promotes practical training in the engineering,
operation and maintenance of engines, turbines, motors, pumps,
compressors, generators, etc. Several sessions are devoted
to the hypercompressors used in the production of low-density

Reactivity Research
Working Group (RRWG)
The RRWG is comprised of academe, industry, trade organizations
and the EPA. Its goal is to provide an improved scientific
basis for reactivity-related regulatory policies. The RRWG
promotes the generation, funding and use of VOC reactivity
policy-relevant science among all interested parties. The

Southern Aerosol
Technical Association (SATA)
The mission of SATA is to provide forums for the development
and sharing of technical, regulatory and marketing information

Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SCC)
Comprised of more than 3,600 members, the Society of Cosmetic
Chemists was founded in 1945 to promote high standards of
practice in the cosmetic sciences. The organization serves
as a focus and provides the proper forums for the exchange
of ideas and new developments in cosmetic research and technology.

Society of Tribologists and Lubrication
Engineers (STLE)
The STLE is the new name for the ASLE. The membership of 4,300
technical professionals represents men and women working in
industry, academic institutions and government throughout
the United States, Canada and around the world. In a variety
of ways, STLE brings together these managers, engineers, scientists,
technicians and craftspeople to learn and share best practices
associated with the design and operation of modern machinery
and equipment.

Western Aerosol
Information Bureau (WAIB)
The WAIB is a regional association of companies involved with
the production or marketing of aerosol products. The membership
consists of approximately 70 companies, some small and independently
owned, others nationally and internationally recognized. The
organization charter addresses the necessity for providing
objective information, predicated upon scientific data to
the public, members, the media, regulatory and government
bodies.
